So been running on stock since this morning and dragons dogma 2 been running for about 5 hours without any reboots / crashes which is the first time so that’s progress!
Will continue on stock for the moment and leave on overnight and grab that expo RAM tomorrow for testing.
Hey,
I have been using EXPO profile as reviews said it was viable but maybe that is causing the issue!
I’ll disable expo and just use without enabling for the moment and see how that goes, I have access to some different RAM tomorrow that is EXPO so can test again with that
Other than it...
Hey,
Hoping anyone can help, built a new machine a few weeks ago and I'm getting constant crashes in games and now random reboots when just idle.
Temps all appear to be OK even under full stress test at 100% usage CPU sits at 80 and in games only 50-60c with idle of 38-40c, GPU temps are also...
Thanks both, I did do chipset via motherboard page actually, didn’t think about it so will remove and re-do that.
I’ve removed the gigabyte bloat as well so will do some testing later
I've disabled PBO now so will give that a go later today, only RAM change is for EXPO enabled.
Currently downloading Cyberpunk as that's more intensive than Helldivers / AC6 so we'll see how that plays.
Only part that isn't new in this build is the nvme, but I wouldn't have thought that would...
This is my concern - it’s a new build only done a week or so ago.
It’s fine when stress testing, no reboots or anything yet soon as get into Dogma in particular it just doesn’t play well. Done a verify files yesterday when it was crashing every 10-15 seconds which helped for a short while.
PSU...
Everything is running at stock as this was causing issues at the very start so removed. Only thing enabled is PBO via AMD, could try turning that off, is this enabled for you?
Really don’t know what’s causing it and it’s driving me crazy :/
How are people finding stability of the game?
About 20 hours in and the crashing is just getting worse crash multiple times in a row just straight to desktop then be fine for about an hour and repeat…
This is on 7800x3d, 4080 super, 32GB ram. Temps etc are all fine..
It’s on any game / benchmarking.
Helldivers 2 / Darktide / dragons dogma 2 / Granblue fantasy relink - just seems to be soon as under load high or low fps happens.
Collecting the 3rd on Thursday so we’ll see what happens
Oh lord so many posts!
I wouldn’t mind if it was just in benchmarking but both cards it’s very loud whine under any game load as well :(
Guess we may be trying for card number 3..
Whine is only there when the GPU is under load otherwise it’s fine, wouldn’t have thought it’s PSU?
Also if taking side off can hear it coming from the card.
Hey,
Recently got a 4080 Super Zotac OC white, while the card runs great it had terrible coil whine so has been returned and purchased another but the whine is exactly the same..
Is this common on the 40 series or have I just been unlucky and try a 3rd time?
Thanks, I think he'll probably still go with the Zotac due to the warranty as he wont be changing this PC for a long time so any extra warranty is a huge bonus.
Regarding the PSU in the spec will this be OK? I'm assuming yes as it was in one of your previous specs. I see that the 2080 Ti...
