Thanks both
Considering the above and the qualified RAM list for the mobo, and general availability/prices here and elsewhere, any reason not to settle for Kingston Fury Beast 32GB?
Appears most of the 3200/3600 Corsair LPX kits aren't listed on the qualified venders list for the mobo, I know...
Great advice thank you.
On RAM I was considering 32GB too... it's hard to imagine any games making use of more than 16GB anytime soon but will have a think, I'd like to keep it tidy and not get anything more than what is needed.
I assume this would do the trick too though? (since it's in stock...
Building a new gaming PC for my bro, he has a max 2k budget.
He has a Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor (1440p, 240Hz), and he likes to keep games installed (slow internet in rural area) which is why I've gone for 500GB + 1TB on storage.
Everything look OK with the following?, any advice or savings...
Thanks both, good advice!.
I didn't even notice the case didn't have a drive compartment... how times have changed. I'll try convince him that an external drive (or no drive) is probably the better choice.
Hi,
I've been asked to put a build together for a friend, max £1500 budget ideally closer to £1400.
There'll be no desire to overclock anything. I'm mainly questioning if this is the best RAM choice.
I won't have a another CPU for the board so wondering if there's a chance it may need a bios...
haha can you make that image a little larger @satchef1, just to rub it in a little more :D
I'm going to stay up and play at least a little once it unlocks, need to get past that initial 'excitement of anticipation' phase so I can sleep and focus tomorrow :o
Smash party plans for the weekend...
There's an option to disable stage hazards in Ultimate.
I think toggling items has been in since Melee, playing with friends we'd usually toggle off certain items or sometimes play with none, it's fun to mix things up.
Haha, I think I know the part she's stuck at in that chapter, it's one big elaborate boss fight iirc.
I hope we get Bayonetta 3 in 2019, I think we might see more of the game very soon :). At least there's DMC5 releasing in March, the world needs more action hack'n'slash games.
I think once I've unlocked all of the characters is Ultimate I probably won't really touch the single player modes, but they seem engaging enough.
Spirits mode feels like a challenge mode essentially, with a light strategic element, combined with collectable card system (Smash Ultimate Team? :D)
That's fair enough, it is largely more of the same.
I certainly wouldn't call Ultimate a port though, there are a few fundamental changes to the core game that aren't simple adjustments or enhancements.
Ultimate builds on 4, like 4 built on Brawl.
I guess the term 'new game' is up for...
Looking forward to it :). A little over 5 weeks until we have a new Smash Bros game.
They tend to go into a fair bit of detail in these game-specific directs, which I really appreciate. There also a 'Live Treehouse Presentation' after the direct which I assume is just going to be them demoing...
I think I'm at a point where I'm no longer interested in playing games older than the Gamecube era, outside of a select few.
HD versions/remasters of GC & Wii games would definitely have my interest. Not quite as simple to achieve due to the more unique control layouts of GC/Wii and performance...
I feel most of the Wii U games ported over are about as relevant today as when they were originally released, and given the demand is higher on Switch I'm not surprised at all at the prices. It's not a hard sell for those who never owned a Wii U (going by the sales, quite an easy sell in fact).
I wouldn't upgrade for an improved screen alone as I dont use the Switch a whole lot portable (and the screen is already quite nice).
If theres was anything that improved the docked experience in any way though I'd likely upgrade day 1.
It's interesting how divided opinions are on this game.
I found it to be my favourite of the trilogy, it felt a little more like a Tomb Raider game to me than the previous two. The difficulty options to disable climbing guides and puzzle hints were something I really appreciated and I think a...
