Easiest way to remove oil paint from hands?

I used to use a certain make of barrier cream years ago that worked really well, forgot it's name now though! One I used recently however and it made my hands so slimy I couldn't hold on to any tools if they got even the slightest bit moist. I'd take a swing at something and the tool would end...

Easiest way to remove oil paint from hands?

A tub of Big Wipes, either the heavy duty or the multi surface ones from Screwfix work great, on both your hands and any cleaning up you have to do. https://www.screwfix.com/p/big-wipes-heavy-duty-wipes/246hf https://www.screwfix.com/p/big-wipes-multi-surface-bio-wipes/977jf Also, if your hands...

I agree, you'd think the double axled, numerous wheeled vehicles would give it away, plus the tramlines such vehicles imprint on busier roads. Frost and neglect play a large part in the deterioration too I'd think. It's just another excuse box on the bingo card of those that don't like EVs.

    Show Us Your Motors!

Today's cutting remark! I had a friend who said he'd bought a Tesla. I asked "why?". He replied "no, 3". :D

True, but lets be honest, the BoE can't predict what they had for breakfast.

    Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

These changes to S%S ISA (intentional typo) and Ca$h ISA (again lol) have got me thinking that perhaps they foresee stocks to really perform. When people withdraw their considerable gains they'll have nowhere tax-free to put them?

Electric car brakes replacement at 20k

This is something I'm looking out for with my BYD Seal. There's a chap from Finland on youtube with the same car that had to change all his discs at 19 months/19k miles at the cost of 1,300 euros. He was told by the service centre that he didn't use the friction brakes enough . Once...

Power Tools & General Tools Recommendations & Advice

You must be reading my mind, I've been thinking the exact same thing. I've just finished replastering a room and used my drywall sander to great effect, I was so surprised at how quick and efficient it was, but the ceiling was a workout for the arms and shoulders. So sanding decking - I'm going...

Fire Thread! - Stoves, Wood, Axes, Chainsaws

I'd say get the hardwood as long as they're measuring it by volume rather than weight (only the tightest of companies does it by weight). Also look out for unscrupulous companies putting softwood in the mix . The hardwood will burn better and longer so you shouldn't get through it as quick...

I always thought the Model S would be my first EV but it wasn't to be. They stopped making them in RHD and I didn't fancy a LHD or one more than a few years old.

    General DIY skills

Some great advice already given, I'll try not to repeat any of it :D. - get a good quality tool bag to keep your screwdrivers, hand tools, knives, measuring tapes etc in one place. There's nothing more frustrating in doing a job and having to spend ages looking something! Plus you can take the...

POLL PLS: Do you use the small button?

Is this where the saying "I'm feeling flush" comes from? That you are so well off you don't care how much all those full flushes are costing you per year? Remember, you're paying for it twice - first by how much you take and then again as waste water (if you don't have a septic tank). If...

    TV Licence Super Thread

If Trump successfully sues the BBC for even a fraction of the $10B he wants, that'll upset the paying customer base that the BBC tentatively is hanging on to, as they'll see it as them paying price for their error. No doubt there will be some backroom deals to ensure it doesn't get that far...

    TV Licence Super Thread

I wonder what departments the redundancies affect; perhaps not the best way to fix an ailing system. If the rumours are true about the next Charter in 2028 you'll need a license to watch any and all streaming services including youtube, live or not. I still grudgingly pay the license fee...

    Three phase power supply (domestic)

You could enquire about a 2 phase supply which can work out cheaper, especially if your location and neighbouring properties are supplied on a split phase arrangement. This should double your available power draw. You DNO will of course know what supplies are near by and will advise on the best...
