Shop Like It's 1999 - Go Back In Time And Celebrate 25 Years of Overclockers UK

1999 stock would definitely not be at 1999 prices any more... that stuff would be antique prices now! Love the logo though, what a nostalgia trip.

Custom Loop in a Fractal North XL Case

If that much rad fits, you should be fine from a cooling perspective. It just depends on how quiet you want it, as with that much heat output you might have to run the fans a little fast when it's going full bore.

    19/13mm fittings popularity?

I'm not looking forward to that point when I can't get hold of the tubing any more and have to change all my fittings in one upgrade cycle :(

    19/13mm fittings popularity?

People moved to the smaller size stuff because it's easier to make runs with and bend etc. I've still got my 13/19 fittings (some from 15 years ago when I started w/c), but that's because I'm cheap and I don't want to pay for a full set of new ones!

    **B-GRADE CLEARANCE AND FORUM DEALS**

Lol, just because it's 99% off doesn't make a 6th gen cpu outperform an equivalent that costs the same from this/last gen.

    **B-GRADE CLEARANCE AND FORUM DEALS**

I got an LG 27GN950 and it arrived with ~100 hours of on time but no cosmetic or otherwise noticeable defects. That was a couple of years ago and it's at 2250 hours now and running great.

First Hands on with Bitspower CR802 Reservoir Combo

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing. Are there any kind of mounting points to help secure it at all?

ASUS RTX 4090 ROG Matrix Platinum - Add to Water loop?

EK are pretty overpriced these days and I've seen a fair few people on this forum mention QC issues so I'd probably avoid them myself. You won't see much of a difference in temps from waterblocks though, maybe a couple of degrees, so pick one that you like the looks of.

ASUS RTX 4090 ROG Matrix Platinum - Add to Water loop?

So the AIO card is £3k, or you could get a standard 4090 and a block for £1800, and not waste the pump/res that comes with the AIO card. I know if you're buying a 4090 you aren't short of cash, but imo it's still going to be quicker/easier to just put a block on a card and have proper fittings...

ASUS RTX 4090 ROG Matrix Platinum - Add to Water loop?

Anything is possible! Depends on how much of a bodge you want to make of it, you can just cut the tubes and figure out a way to plumb it into an existing open loop, or see if you can disconnect the fittings for the block and replace them with something more standard. Why not get a regular card...

why you shouldnt neglect proper loop maintenance

I ran UV green for quite a few years and didn't have any separation with the mayhems stuff. I did notice that the actual fluorescence completely died off after <6 months, so I wouldn't say that it's less maintenance than any other fluid! I'm running some standard x1 red premix at the moment and...

    Hard or soft

Hard vs soft tubing fittings aren't the same! You'll need a whole new set if you're going from compressions to hardline. Not trying to change your mind, just something to think about. Personally I'm quite happy with the aesthetics of a curved set of tubes, and the convenience and ease of...

Yep, they use the same cooler bracket so you'll be fine.

    A bit dusty

That's why the vacuum option is better, even if it's less effective... At least you aren't spreading it everywhere!

    soft tubing ftw ?

I would personally avoid spit going anywhere near the loop as you're just offering more potential sources of things that can grow in it. If you use a suitable biocide then it *should* be fine, but why take the risk? If you can't push soft tubing onto barbs, then putting it in warm water will do...

AIO Cooler - Swapping the fans and the MB connection?

You likely won't see much benefit from 6 intake fans vs 3, but it depends on how fast you're running them vs the AIO. You might be better served putting your intakes on the bottom and having them feed fresh air to your gpu, but if you're planning on having the intakes run really slow then you...

    XSPC D5 Pump Double Failure

I've seen a few posts about this sort of thing recently and it makes me wonder if I should pre-emptively replace my D5 that I've had since 2012. It hasn't run 24/7, but it does feel more and more like a risk!
