Any of you OCUK lot on a Fodmap diet?

Yup, diagnosed with IBSC about 3 years ago. I'm now pretty careful food wise, haven't knowingly cooked with or eaten onion. Big fan of garlic infused olive oil for that flavour when needed. I have the Monash app on my phone as it details everything you can eat along with quantities. I take 2...

I just got the logs in B&Q, just make sure they've been stored indoors and are dry. Burn really well and hot but make sure you get the hardwood ones not softwood.

Yup, it's the JJS fireguard I use and its great. The cost of using just kiln dried logs offsets the £25 cost of the fireguard quickly enough. It definitely helps shape the flames wider as well as holding back all the fire.

I've recently been burning kiln dried oak in my ooni 3 instead of the pellets. I got the modified fire guard and have to say it's a real step up. I always found cooking with (ooni) pellets left a taste even when correctly burning. The small kiln dried oak logs are great and can easily get upto a...

Fitting stone shower tray on floor (plumber says no cement required?)

Had a new bathroom and shower fitted by a company a few years ago. After a few months noticed hairline cracks around the outer edge of the shower tray. Got the company back out and yep, you guessed it their fitters didn't install the tray on a bed of mortar. Cue the company was liable and had to...

Let us know how it goes. I've trialled many combinations but find the plain pizza express pasatta the best in terms of consistency and tartness/bite/bitterness.

    Cement that's out of date

Even if you use white cement (snowcrete) you will not get properly white concrete/render due to the sand content. It'll end a pinky colour at best. If you want a proper white finish either pay for a proper white render (k rend or monocouche) or tile the walls with slabs or tiles.
