    Useful Freeware Utilities

Absolutely! They're extremely versatile to store OS in ISO format on a memory stick. Several ISOs can be stored in a single USB stick and have Ventoy launch the ISO of your choice. Brilliant. Thanks Bulldog.

Upgrade recommendations for Flight Simulator 2020?

Folks, Thank you all so much and the comments were all positive and very encouraging. I will go over these products and read its specs and reviews. One thing that did surprise me is that none of you recommended NVMe memory? ANy particular reasons? I hear NVMEs are around 7 times faster...

Upgrade recommendations for Flight Simulator 2020?

Hi guys, I have a very old motherboard (still works well to this day), a Biostar T-Power i45, with Intel Core Duo 2 and 8Gb DDR2 Corsair memory. The CPU is water-cooled with Corsair own water-cooling system. I also have a Graphics Card, GTX960. Now, I feel that it's time to have a complete...

The Great OcUK Distro/Derivative Poll VI

Yeah, but did you know that there's loads of free games from the Software Package Installer. :D:D:D:D But yeah, I don't often use it on Linux, only on MS W7 for Elite Dangerous, etc. I will do some researching on LM17.2 to see if I can run Elite Dangerous on LM17.2, perhaps under Windows...

    Windows 10

Yes, yes, I already know that, too. Some diehard Microsoft users wouldn't care, but I do care. I hate interfering adverts and unwanted adverts. Paid Windows 10 will still likely to have adwares as it is still integral to Microsoft's money making tactics! Could we all start a thread on...

    Windows 10

Ahhh, there's the caveat you've just disclosed! So, it is not FREE then. Are you saying that W10 is likely to be chargeable at some point in the near future?

    Windows 10

Bulldog, yes, quite possibly. There's a HUGE plethora of audit trails and electronic fingerprints all over the registry keys and internal kernal routines... They hide in undecipherable hex-decimal folder names! What's in them is anyone's guess. Scary though. :(

    Windows 10

Bulldog, MS would not do this. MS owns Skype and would install that rather than MS's rivals with Google's Hangout. It won't work. MS does, however, allow anyone to install non-MS apps, like Google Hangouts on their OS anyhow. :)

    Windows 10

You may be correct, but there are probably 80% of people out there who are not 'geeky' enough to know how to disable them, though? It would be nice to have MS offer some options, like tick boxes / ON-OFF / Yes/No, etc to some features, thus no need for technical how-to fixes... Your...

    Windows 10

Hmmm, if MS thinks it is easier to give us free W10 rather than fight the piracy, then why the need for license keys? Linux OS is free, yet does not need a licence key. Why can't MS do the same approach?

    Dual Vesa Mount (Clamp)

My desk is an IKEA BESTÅ BURS (See this link: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/50147354/) As you can see, the rear is flushed, so the clamp has to go from the top to the bottom of the desk, and that is 130mm deep.

    Dual Vesa Mount (Clamp)

Similar to this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00AV70AEI/ref=s9_simh_gw_p147_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=1JF08MADWEW2CX5RAXG1&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=577048407&pf_rd_i=desktop ... but the clamp in this link is only up to 100mm. Herein lies the problem...
