BFG or EVGA or XFX?

EVGA is the oldest out them 3, gives 10 year warrenty and lets you swap the stock cooler without losing warrenty, added bonus if you think its worth it for Stepup (some do some dont), also have very good support forum with OC tips etc from users and Mods alike.

P.S, the BFG Lifetime Warrenty is not the same for US and EU (not 100% sure on small details as I dont use BFG).

HI there

Yes there is, they are based in Wales and generally do a very good job. Anyone ever have issues just contact me and I can prioritise your case within BFG. :)
wha.......

looks like BFG is winning by a huge lead. just need to wait for X38 and place my orders :D

I wonder what that guys problem was then and why he only had usa support maybe he didn't try hard or has another reason to slate bfg's warranty.

Hi there

Who knows, its possible he spoke to someone in BFG US who had no idea about the UK side of things and as such did the RMA wrong. No matter how good a company is there will always be issues where someone was not 110% issue or a mistake was made.

Fact is BFG do have an office/warehouse in Wales and RMA's can be dealt with via there. Plus BFG are generally very good when it comes to support. If/when I hear a case they are not performing I give BFG a lot of ear ache because they have an agreement/contract with OcUK to keep our customer happy. Therefor upset OcUK customers, means me getting upset with BFG which is not good for them at all because it puts the BFG/OcUK relationship at risk if I start believing my customers are not getting looked after.

Yup, look what happened between OcUK and XFX. They've still not sorted themselves out either.

I think that they must have no pride in their company whatsoever.

HI there

What we wanted from XFX was a simple solution, we told them what it would require for us to take them back and they simply said they could not do it. Now let me assure you we asked for nothing special or impossible, in fact truth have it we were asking for far less than what we get from EVGA or BFG.

Simple fact is XFX could be back on our website tomorrow if XFX will support us better so we can at least offer customers a 48hr no quibble turn-around on faulty goods.

EVGA are very good. My next door neighbour had an 8800GTS 320MB go wrong after a few months of ownership. EVGA replaced it with a new 640MB version and included a few free games for his troubles. I think it took about 3 weeks to turn things around though.

That's why I bought an EVGA card.

edit: Damn, I just realised I have replied to a very old post

48 hours from xfx

I'm lucky if i get 48 days... and i'm being 100% serious there!

XFX can make some stonking cards, but as stated over and over, their tech/customer support is an absolute joke!

I've dealt with both EVGA and BFG for warranty returns before, and i must say, they are both as good as each other really.

For what it's worth I have the Leadtek 880GTS 640, the cheapest one you can get and it's the dog's danglers. OC to 650/950 so far and I know jack all about overclocking.

I'd highly recommend this card. 100/100.
