Gigabyte 512 mb 8800GT - Not enough Power ?

I have had a bit of a mare recently with this now mobo and Vista 64, relating to graphics from the 8800GT card I have.

Since I binned off Vista and installed good old XP Pro, and following the installation of the latest nvidia drivers, a pop up box appears on logon stating the card is not getting enough power and needs suplimentary power/ ?? and has throttled back for safety:confused:

I have the Enermax Galaxy GPU six pin power connector hooked up and its in my PCI-Express slot 1...activated in bios...what gives ???

Anyone else had this ???

I dont get on my card with a Enermax.

I got it all the time on a 6800Ultra AGP as of crappy loose wires in the PCI-E to Molex Adapters.

I tightened them up and reset all errors in the Windows Event Viewer which that Nvidia Sentinel is using and I never seen them again.

performs great 11800 3d mark 06 at stock runs crysis nicely and anything else i can throw at it :) mainly playing crysis and rfactor at moment only had card a day but definately has more umph then my 320mb gts managing 65fps on ut3 demo @ full details @ 1680x1050 also.

Very nice, im running 1440x900 res. What fps you get at crysis all high?
