Oh no ,another need a car thread

Ok firstly the background:

Just about to start a new job with Redbull.This will involve a 80 mile round trip on a daily basis. The car i want will be classed as a 2nd vehicle and my wife gets the main car.

Budget would be 2k-4k and would prefer a diesel for the economy.I was thinking perhaps a Focus TDCi or even a Mondeo if i can find one with reasonable mileage .

Anything else i should consider?
