Guys can i ask one thing.....
I appreciate if you will take 30 mins to do this:

Please select London in a Evo 10 (new one)
Choose time trial (stopwatch option not race flag)

Take a note of your best laptimes.
We are trying to get an idea on average how the PAD compares against the wheel.

It could be a problem that harms online races. So far early testing with the wheel allows even on a small track like London a much faster time than PAD.

Can't you just test yourself and get a more accurate comparison?

I can't see how wheel should be any faster apart from perhaps the fact that pad users are more likely to use automatic gears, if anything pad should be faster because it's easier to move your finger 10mm than to rotate a wheel 180 (faster reactions).

Unless they threw in some sort of compensation, or there's some sort of bug that prevents pad from getting full throttle. :confused:

Smoother and more progressive steering is what it's all about. You will find that you loose a little less speed through the corners because of the extra precision you get from a wheel.

Well to have other peoples time i can then compare to my pad times.
That way I know if my pad time sucks

Can anyone do me a favour. Just bought this in a local games store and I cant read japanese

On the C class races its giving me a message when I try to select the lightweight race that I cant read, which im presuming says I need a specific spec fo cars. Ive already bought the Elise and its still saying it, so does anyone know what the requirements are for the one with 'K Lightweight' as the challenge title.

Its the only one I cant get gold on matey, so its not just you. I got 0.1 of a second off doing it, but couldnt get gold

I know for a fact on games like LFS the wheel is much faster.. you can make small adjustments far easier and keep the speed up.

I can get the silver time (just) but cannot see where to make up almost 3 seconds! What is the best line through the first corner? I think that is where I am losing a lot of time.

Also what is the best wheel for around £50, cannot justify spending much more but would like to give one a go.

Great game though, probably enjoying it more than I did Forza2.

There will be a option to change from imperial to metric i would have thought.. i cant find it tho lol

My Japanese copy has just arrived along with DS3, merry christmas ho ho ho.

It seems to be installing to HD at the moment.

@ Zip, ya i know but its like on the fly 238kph just too much whilst i am racing!

@ZG002, i know i cant find it either, maybe they only add it in for USA/UK Pal versions?!

da i cant sit still ! honestly thr races are really good fun, even if the opponent AI isnt great and that they dont tend to accelerate hard enough to be competition. Online should be awesomo though!!

merry xmas all this has p-ut me in a good mood. maybe even good enough to buy a steering wheels!
