Having shopped on the net for years and being subjected to so many run of the mill robot-like online shops (order, confirmation, recieve goods - all automated), i've just had a rather pleasant experience.

Having managed to break yet another squash racket last night I set about deciding whether to get the same one again (Head Metallix 150 @ ~£60 + £18 to get it strung how I like it in tecnifibre strings) or to shop around for a new racket.

I decided I'd go for a Tecnifibre Suprem 130 (2007) racket as they already come with the strings I like. The cheapest I found the one I wanted for was over at racket-sports.com. £67.49 inc delivery.

I ordered it, and because I'm an impatient sod I emailed their sales email to ask when I'd recieve it. I got a response almost straight away from a nice chap saying he'd get it sent out today and i'd get it tomorrow. Brilliant I thought.

Next thing I know he's emailed me back to say that they didn't have the exact model in stock, but they did have the same model in a different colour (white). I didn't fancy a white racket so I emailed him back to ask if I could have a different racket instead (which was £6 more expensive - Carboflex 140 2008). I then go outside to take a look at the job my mum did cleaning my car only to come back inside to a missed call and an answer phone message. Kevin from Racket-Sport had called me and left an answer phone message explaining the difference between the two rackets, and that he was just leaving for the post office to send the racket.

Brilliant I thought, so to be polite I emailed saying to let me know how he'd like me to pay the £6 difference, only to be told not to worry and that simply letting people at my local club know about the site would be fine.

Can't fault them one bit. I'm chuffed to bits and i'll definately be shopping with them next time I break my racket!

So I thought I'd let anyone who likes squash/badminton/racketball/tennis to take a look at http://www.racket-sport.com next time they're due a new racket :)

Excellent service there, just took a look for badminton though and unfortunately it is way above my level to require a £95+ racquet. In the unlikely event I ever get that good I'll definitely keep them in mind.

I can give you some tips if you like? Nothing complicated, but probably the most important ones in the sport :)

There are very few things better than brilliant service, it's a rare thing these days. Those few shops that go the extra mile I will always shop at, a little help goes a long way as they say.

thats great stuff. when i ordered my amplifier online, they rang me up and asked me if i wouldnt mind taking delivery that day. so i did....3 hours after i placed the order.

gotta love a bit of proper customer service.
