Wikipedia Won't Remove Pictures of Prophet Mohammed

What I find funny is that we (and north america) always portray jesus as a white man.

..and even if you don't, people get all uppity! :D

That surprises me, for once common sense actually provails. Lets hope it's the start of more rational behaviour.

Too right. I think living in the UK some people (or at least I) get exposed to so much of this obscene political correctness that seeing someone actually stand up to a minority group and say 'no' is a refreshing change. I hope it continues.

You could understand em being miffed if he had Tony Blairs face whilst being bent over and taking it like a good-un.

But lets face it, it isn't anything like that is it!

Look its simple, the Quran forbids any pictures of any of our prophets end of story:). No ifs, ands or buts about it, thats the way it is...main reason for that is that we do not allow idolisation of any of our prophets. So pictures, statues etc are strictly forbidden and that includes Jesus, who was a prophet in islam as well.

Thats all im going to say on the subject other than i dont agree with what Wiki is doing...in the end its just agitating more muslims therefore causing more resentment towards the Western world...

I'm waiting for the photochoppery on those pics to begin.... brain is a bit dead this evening so can't really lead the convoy :p

The bottom one does look like he's saying "Can any of you chaps lend me a fiver until Friday?" :D

Why should illustration = idolisation?

I'd be genuinely interested to know why it's the case.:)
