Cooking a curry - how difficult is it?

Well I for one would rather try pitchforks tasty 3am drunken curry than Haj's pedantic 'authentic' curry :p

The curry I make is a quick and easy.
I can cook authentic if I want and have done, it's too long winded for me when i'm coming back from the pub and it's a completely different kettle of fish altogether.
As it stands, english adapted curry is still pretty tasty and it's what you'd get buying it at an indian restaurant here.

Key to good curry = GEE OIL, oh and masala powder/paste to create a base. From there on in, the world is your oyster, or curry for that matter.

I particularly like Kashmiri Lamb Rogan Josh. Get cooking that in your kitchen and make your house smell like Indian restaurant heaven!

If your local Indian restaurant sells anything like the curry's you get in Jars at Tesco I'd refuse to pay!

very easy thai curry, is buy some red thai curry paste from tesco,

heat up some seasmae oil in pan then fry 4 tables spoons on the paste.

when it smells nice, add your chicken and cook until its almost done,

add 1 tin of coconut milk and simmer for 10 mins

job done - easy nice and quick

Not as nice as this, but much quicker

i can personally vouch for the above recipie its gorgeous

What's the name of your family's restaurant Psycho? Can't see why you would be ashamed to name it unless it was utter tosh, regardless of whether you use 'food colouring' or not.

Btw Fish & Chips > Indian Restaurants.

its the shimla in paisley and the food has changed a lot over the past few months with adaptions that we have told the chef to make - as well as a change of some ingredients

but its still nowhere near the status of what i'd like it to be - like i said im trying to constantly improve it - just dont go for the buffet and order something fresh - buffet is for the local chav paisley customers who seem to only want a buffet and cannot understand why people like fresh food

we have kingfisher and cobra on tap - i love cobra with a dash of lime syrup - we dont use lime cordial - lime syrup tastes a million times better

food wise - the achari is quite nice off the menu as well as lamb bhoona and tarka daal - try a side dish of staff curry as well - make sure you try our veg pratha too - for starters our poori's are nice for the average joe, but for something a bit more spice try our seekh kebab or samosa's - you wont see me in there unless its a friday or sat night

You are a great ambassador for your business, calling your customers chavs.

if you didnt already know paisley is the drug capital of scotland

ive had several fights within the restaurant

people coming in trying to buy kitchen knifes from me so they could stab someone they just had a fight with

ive seen people getting chased down the street and for some reason they decide to run in - with a whole gang following behind them

had to call the police on many occasions who always turn up late - only once have they got there and the people still been there

some guy overdosed across the road at 2pm once - in the middle of the street

police raided the flats across the road several times too last year

the list goes on - paisley isn't exactly a nice place to be - my school was burnt down by someone in my class in primary 7 - 11 years old - got 6 months off school whilst it was rebuilt - he was later arrested a few months later for selling drugs - thank god ive never lived there and always lived in a decent area

some guy opened up a van which sold chinese food straight to your door - the local triads who are the druglords and own most the chinese restaurant blew his van up
