Ok, in the end this question became kinda redunndants since i couldn't sleep tonight i decided to butcher my pc instead.

1: removed the rear HDD mount (it served no purpose_

2: Removed that silly plastic thing atop my PC

3: Removed the original front 120mm fan. Replaced with a Delta (i don't care about the noise) i'm jus tpraying i got it the right way round :P

4: Removed the top mounted fan, replacing with an arctic cool 90mm.

5 / 6. Same as 3 and 4 really, replacing the two rear exhausts with a delta and an arctic cool Soon as i can get through this last cable tie. The things made out of kevlar or something seriously, it bent my freakin knife. (i know knife + wires = stupid. so do i)

I have no idea what i'm going to do once i finish putting these fans in however :P probably put the thing on a skateboard and see if it moves when i power it up.

Aside adding fans i'm fairly new to the whole casemodding thing. So i have no idea what the next step woul dbe. Tempted to make a custom sidepanel for the door, but no idea how, And i can't think of any other ways to mod the case at this present time. Anyone has any suggetions feel free to let me know. I've got (or atleast i should hope i have) cooling covered so now i'm onto customising the looks :P

The first thing i did with mine was to ditch the rear hdd cage. Then i cut out the plastic top so that the top fan is unobstructed. All the fans have been changed to Arctic Cooling ones, 92mm + 120mm. I also got another hdd cage/fan mount for the front of the case so i have 2x 120mm intakes.

Did you know you can get an aftermarket side panel with a 230mm fan in it. Fit's the original Armour as well as the new ones. Make sure you get the right version though.

i'll have to give the new door thing a look into. And as for the arctic fans, i'm in a bit of an anoying mess right now. The board i have has 2 4pin headers (as is needed for the 2 arctic fans) but one of them is half a mile down the board so i can't get the cable to reach it (the other one is the cpu one, but thats what the arctic fans are meant for.

My current problems are twofold however. first is the obvious problem with the bloody 4pin connectors. (i think hter was a 2nd 4pin atleast, i'll check again late, half the pins are in ridiculous places. one of them is pretty much beneath the pci-e lane)

I've also gotta get some new screws for the 2 delta fans where they're 38mm deep and all my screws are made for 25mm deep. No idea where i'm going to buy those from though. I'll need to get some kind of rubber washers to go between the fan and its mountings also. Don't mind noise, hate rattling though.

I'm going to take that annoying plastic thing to a shop near me soon and borrow their dremel. No idea what i'm doing with it though :P My current idea is to cut a circle out of the top bit, place it back ontop of the case, and see if i can't find some kind of a msh, (like on the front panels) to put there so there's no real airflor restriction. I'd want to get some kind of protection or something around the edges where i cut the plastic though, just to stop it looking too messy. Might just buy a fan guard to put there though. (if i can get one that'll fit. The surface area's pretty much exactlythe same as the fans on that plastic thing)

Anyway yeah i definatly like the idea of a new side door. Not sure why but something bothers me about that fan...

lol, i'll get some pic's up when its ready, i hate putting stuff up when its only halfway there :P Besides i'm still trying to figure out what to do to it for the most part

---edit---

lol, finally gotten around to fiddling with some more bits. tried to get some decent screws for the back of the case fan... normal self threading screws are too big for the holes provided in the back of the case lol. Gonna need to either enlarge those holes, or buy smaller screws.

nevermind, i've got 2 fan guards ordered, 1 60mm one to place ontop of that crappy plastic thing, and a 120mm one for the front of the case since the delta sticks out liek a jet turbine :P Also ordered 2 cathodes to put inside the door. Once its all fitted and i've finished moving i'll try and post a couple pic's. Its not a huge mod, and its my first attempt at case modding really so don't be cruel when i do :P

a bit like what iv done.

when i got my case i removed that plastic thing at the top and anything uness'asery.

Heres a fairly old picture but i have three 120mm fans down the front of my case:

and on the side panel i removed the mesh from the 250mm fan and put a dust filter on for better air flow.

and as a cpu cooler, well check this out: :p

and heres another shot of my pc :) i have two blue neon sticks, one inside my pc and iv mounted one on the outside of my pc :)

Everybody should ask "Nokkonwud" what went down at Bad Lan Rising, when he met me....

I got asked nicely to turn my fans off....

i had 3-4 Deltas 120mm full whack.....

Could locate me easily :D

Deltas?

Now you definitely won't be able to sleep and then you will start doing more random things, it's a vicious cycle... You're going to destroy yourself!
