Good luck with getting the GTX260 to beat a 4870 which uses shader based AA. 4870 even comes very close to 280 performance I would say within 10% (except for Crysis & FSX) you can easily overclock all 4870s as the DDR5 ram is rated for 4.4Ghz vs 3.6Ghz stock speed or push it even further using a custom bios.
This gives you:
4870 (4.4ghz) Memory Bandwidth: 140.5GB/sec
vs
GTX280 Memory Bandwidth: 141.7GB/sec
Except that my overclocked 280 has 166.4GB/sec bandwidth and Shocky's over 170GB/sec. Same argument, you clock, I clock.

. Do you really think the people that have bought GTX 260/280-4850/4870 done this to get their benchmark numbers up?. Seriously, your statement is totally misleading. Crysis and benchmark software? pff.
