• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

OFFICIAL Catalyst 8.9's out.

Same here but its using SSL & a cookie that was set when you went through the front door so it will work for you untill you close the browser.

So do these work with custom bioses? 8.8 for example doesnt if you change voltage via bios. You get a blank screen as soon as vista boots and its a pain to revert.

I found this.
Also i no longer use the Express install with any Cat driver.. it will wipe out your Net2.0 updates...

I ALWAYS use CUSTOM INSTALL .

Uncheck Net 2.0...

If you have updated Nets do NOT install NET2.0. That is the main problem with any Cat install it will wipe out your Net2.0 sp1 update if it has been updated..This will make CCC crash if it happens..

I know ive tested it with the 8.8 and 8.9....If you already have Net2.0 installed and updated .

You DONT need to install it from CATALYST!

If you want the SouthBridge Driver DOWNLOAD THE IGP Version and Install .. Im using my 3870x2 with it..No prob..THe Southbridge will add ATI IDE

Working fine here, although I had to install the CCC twice in order to make it work as it wouldn't load at all first time. Also noticed a temperature drop of around 6 degrees (damn my hot unventilated room).

I have the 4870, not x2. No drop in temps for me. Also I just installed these over the 8.8's and did not even need to restert computer. Is this ok to do?

A lot of people are just installing new drivers over old ones with no problems personally i like to use driver cleaner after uninstalling the old drivers just to make sure the old ones don't conflict with the new ones.
