i know i have a different board but my 8500 wouldnt be stable unless i had 1.45 going through it

which stepping u have?

ive got the CO mate,it will run at 3.8 with the volts set to auto 1.28 but for 4.0ghz ive got to up it to 1.45

Heh, im currently running at 3.6ghz with 1.05Vcore (E8400) will get a screeny in a sec

Double post...

Runs at around 33C on ORTHOS. Core 1 is stuck till above 38C...

Tops out at 42C running intel burn test max settings.

why dont you try leaving everything on auto and just upping your cpu volts to 1.45 and see what happens

whats the VID of the chip i ahd this problem too on one the earlyish 8400's and it was because i was ramping the volts up whn it didnt want it.
