Antec 1200 v Corsair Obsidian 800D

The corsair is simply a work of art in my opinion. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I could be sure my wife would never find out the price!

When you install the H50 just make sure you have it blowing inside your case. Apparently it makes a big difference to the overall airflow in that case.

Also get a decent fan for the bottom intake, and get one to exhaust out the top.

I'll let someone else recommend which fans to actually get.

Wheres the best place to mount the rad? I think I will get all the fans it will take from the start.....advice on which ones, and the best setup greatly appreciated?

oh, my bad! I'd go for the Akasa Apache fans in push/pull using them as an exhaust out of the case.

If you do decide to have the h50 bringing in air from the rear, make sure you have a few top mounted exhaust fans to get rid of the heat out of the case

Here is how my mate has his corasir set up with his Noctua hope this helps you picture it?

im in the middle of building one with the corsair 800d,so far its all going well, the fans im using are

2x 140mm Xigmatek XLF-F1453 LED 1000 RPM and 63.6 CFM and also with quite level (<16 dBA) Fan

5x 120mm Enermax UCMA12 Magma TWISTER Fan (M.B.T.) Batwing Blades 1.5k RPM

so far this is the easiest build i have done, plenty of room to work with.

The 800D can have airflow issues. Seems it was built primarily as a w/c case. If you go on the Corsair support forums, quite a few people are getting high temps with the 800D out of the box.

At this kind of price, it's pretty unacceptable that you have to buy more fans to get air cooling temps that match far cheaper cases.

All of this made me change my mind and opt for a TJ07

Getting back to the case fans, should I change the 140mm fans that come with it for something else?

Which 120mm fans should I get?

With the H50, should I go for a push / pull configuration, or will 1 fan blowing cold air in through it be enough?

Looking at these 120mm fans:

Akasa AK-FN057 Apache Super Silent 120mm Fan - 4 Pin PWM [AK-FN057]

Which 140mm fans should I be looking at? I can only see these:

Akasa AK-195-BL Silent Colour Fan 14cm/13.5cm/13cm - 3 Pin [AK-195-BL]

Or these (but seem loud to me?)

Scythe Kaze Maru 140mm 1200RPM Cooling Fan - 3 Pin [SY1425SL12M]

Is there something that I have missed somewhere?

Somebody has mentioned mounting the H50 on the rear fan with the fan blowing through the rad into the case.

Will that work, as that fan is 140mm isn't it? Will it fit to the rad?
