Nice one Martini1991! :) . . . Screen of the day! :D

Now any chance you could visit post #622 and sort us out an OCCT of that 4GHz clock pleeeaaassssseeeee! :p

Mail me the images directly if it helps cut down the hassle! ;)

I'm just working on my GFX card overclock.
Yesterday, when playing mass effect, 6 hours in, it crashed..
I worked for about 2 hours on my GFX overclock, trying for 20 minutes of furmark extreme mode with 8xmsaa. I managed it at 950/1300 (5850).

Just going to see if it passes for an hour, if it does, I'll get right on with the OCCT.
Tonight, I'll try for 4.1GHZ, if 4.1GHZ fails, I'll work on "fine tuning" the voltages, as I think I can do it at 1.45/1.475v 12 hour stable.

I've been clocking phenom II's since January 09, starting with a Phenom II 940.. I've never really done any Prime 12 hour blends before, so this was my first lol. I do believe however, it's best to keep the NB/HT the same, and within 1400MHZ-1200MHZ of the core clock, like they come at stock.

Martini1991, nice!!

did u put the vcore back down after the prime95 test?:p. if so how do u know it's stable at that the lower vcore..

if it was me i would have started at 1.45v then if it crashs running prime95, up the voltage to 1.475v and test again. keep doing that..

most other motherboards do, i've had some really bad one's in the past...

but tbh Gigabyte motherboards seem a lot more stable on the vcore.

anyway i'm trying for 3.9ghz now.. prime95 is running..

my air cooler is about the same performance as your water cooler . at 1.5v my temp is only 50c under prime load

Thats mine (Phenom II X4 945 90W). Currently stable at 3.4Ghz from 3.0Ghz on a crappy cooler new one soon! I've stress tested seems as soon as my CPU hits 58c theres a BSOD. Ram volts is at 1.78 and overclock is shown DDR-1333 (667Mhz) Crucial Ballistix.

Another point Vcore is set to 1.3875 in BIOS however it comes up as 1.41-1.42 for some reason on temp, volt monitoring software. Will go for 3.6-3.8 when I get a new cooler :)

Any comments are welcome!

Martini1991.

ohhh ok lol

but the cpu-nb voltage does nearly nothing to my temp. for me going from 1.1v to 1.275v my temp only adds a extra 1-2c under load. 1.35v adds another 1c..

Hey Martini,

I'll take it you didnt manage to get your RAM running DDR1600? Top screenie shows RAM @ 666 and that's what seems to be the cause of my troubles too.

DDR3-1333 works fine for me too (@3.8) - Setting it to DDR3-1600 bombs out after about 10-12hours.

no probs martini :)

yes thanks gareth - i'm trying it @ 1.75v (ram rated to run @ 1.65v) at the moment with all stock settings except vcore @ 1.43v/3.8

Ran prime last night with it (mem @1.65v) and checked it after 8 hours - it was still going strong - awoke this morning to find a BSOD - lol. My main aim is 12hours blend stable after which I will deem it completely stable :)

morning all im into my second testing phase of my oc, im still using stock settings apart from vcore (cpu over voltage) in my bios which i have changed down to 1.25 running prime as we speak, the thing is cpuz and pc probe is showing the vcore at 1.20 while core temp and amd overdrive are showing the stock 1.35? which one would be right?
