Predator : Ultimate Hunter Edition (re-released version)

Is the HD version worth a purchase? Some blurays haven't been worth the purchase compared to any improvement in quality - Full Metal Jacket being my stand out disapointment.

Bought Zombieland and Ronin at the weekend. Zombieland is cool, Ronin yet to watch (in HD anyway)

Sons of Anarchy season 1 and 2
kickass

last few i bought, watched SOA a few times already great series

I've bought quite a few recently as I've been upgrading my home cinema kit. Mainly tend to go for the action blockbusters as these seem to benefit the most from the beefed up HD audio tracks.

Day After Tomorrow*

Blu-Rays are one that it really pays to look around and wait for deals on. I've bought all new but only one I've paid over £9 for was the Avatar BR & DVD bundle. Picked quite a few up for under £5* I can't believe some of the prices people pay for Blu-Ray in stores at £20+ must be mad.

Still quite a few I want to get but I'm not paying a fortune so still waiting until they drop in price. The main ones are:

Saving Private Ryan
Star Trek XI
War of the Worlds

A big step up from the DVD imo (which I also own)

Anyone know of any websites that list which Blu-Rays come with a digital copy? I've found a US site but apparently a lot of UK releases are missing the digital copy.

Just got saving private ryan in today, looks excellent, though the beach landing sequence is a bit grainy. Glad to say that the copy i received didnt have the audio issue that was present on release.

Id be interested in this as well, Transformers 2 is one i have that does come with a digital copy. (3 disc special edition).

Just bought

Monsters Inc
Sin City

Both are great films anyway, the blu-ray.com reviews both give 5/5 for picture :D

In the past few weeks I've bought Firefly (it was on offer at a US retailer for about £17+ postage), and Good Luck Chuck (it was cheaper than the DVD:p)

One that I've been waiting on for ages was due for release this month, but it looks like it's been put back again (now it's about 6 months late).

I still want to get Akira

But ~£20 is a lot, and I've bought the film 4 times in the past..

2x vhs copies after one broke, and then both of the DVD releases :o

Just bought the matrix trilogy on members market last night, other recent buys were, Transformers 2, saving private ryan and terminator 2 skynet edition. Next purchase im after is gonna cost a fair bit, im after the world at war series, £80.00, one of the finest documentary series ever made, ill get it first and then go for the bbc life series, got yellowstone and it was fantastic, i love wildlife shows.

I forgot, since the post before last I also picked up
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood part 1
Paprika, a great, slightly trippy film by Satoshi Kon who unfortunately died young (I was half way through watching it when I paused it, had a cuppa and read the news).
Chasing Amy (my old DVD died :()
Zack and Miro Make a Porno

I've also got pre-orders in for amongst others, the Alien Quad (third time I've bought Alien on disc), and Back to the Future :)

Bled, I'm not sure but I think the Madman version of Akira on Blu is probably under £20 delivered from some of the Aussie retailers, and I think they are region B same as us:) (Madman seem to be authoring a lot of the Anime Blu-rays we're seeing here at the moment).

The alien series is another im after, already got them on dvd, but ill sell those on. One i really want to get is infernal affairs, the departed was good but i still prefer the originals.
