I've got myself a really good card!

Using MSI Afterburner I've set the fan to go at 30% if the temperature is 50C or lower. After a good gaming session it settles at 48C. I've set it to go at 70% if the temperature goes above 85C. 93C is the highest it will go in Furmark and the highest I've seen it go in a game is 84C in Crysis. Everything else plays at 71-78C.

This is with a 851 core and 2001 memory overclock @ stock volts! No artifacting at this level of overclock @ stock volts is pretty good. When i get a new power supply and case I'll try pushing it further and see what the limit is with the stock volts and then ill start trying upping the volts.

I can get 895mhz stable with 1.13 volts...but normally run at 800mhz on stock volts

Personlly i think the 6950 is the all around best seller if it unlocks sence i came from a 6950 to a 480. An unlocked 6950 with 6970 bios just beats a gtx 480 at stock and uses way less power.
On mw2 my system is using 333 watts. Thats around 100watts more compared to my gtx 275 and 6950 if i remember right. If i didnt need a 3d card then id be happy with my old 6950 i sold.

I'm going to try and get one of my friends GTX 480s off him for testing and see what I can overclock it to. He's runny very hot with stock coolers in SLI so I wouldn't want to push it in his system but I wouldn't mind trying it on mine.

I got mine yesterday, unfortunately I won't be able to give feedback for a couple of months probably as I'm in the stages of buying parts over the next few months when they're on good offers xD

I was definitely considering fitting the Zalman cooler to mine based on reviews, but would it void my warranty and is it really worth the £40? Will probably be going into a Lancool Dragon Lord. I'm a bit unsure about it because of the possibility it would....

Oh and what are people's experiences with the Voltage tweak stuff (for those who bought the Asus)

Anyone else found that the GamerOSD randomly closes and minimises to the tray when trying to configure an OC?

Should i just download MSI Afterburner?
