Opinions need on bike

Well back after an epic day of driving around to different stores, ended up at the same one as yesterday :)

Tried out the Lapierre Zesty 314 and the Spicy 316, both great bikes but in the end I went with the Trek Remedy 8, just felt nicer when riding it. Went for medium frame as well, because Large just felt too big for me despite being 6ft 1.5".

Got 10% off the price and several nice freebies, shock pump etc.

Here you go :)

Yep

The Remedy 9 is Black/Gold (RRP £3200)
The Remedy 7 is Black/Grey (RRP £2200)

The higher end ones are different colours again. I like the colour though, goes well with the rest of the bike. The Lapierre Spicy was also a nice bike but didnt feel as nice to ride as the Trek, bare in mind the shop assistant set both bikes up for me properly before I tried them so it was a case of which ever feels best.

The Trek won by having a better warranty and just felt nicer to ride.

Reflectors have since been removed, they were a pain to get off.

Your rights to say a bike is fugly were revoked since your last contribution to the bike World :p

My bike may have been garish but at least it was designed with some idea of what looks good, Marin appear to have put the shock in the wrong place and then decided to weld extra lengths of material on to in an attempt to make it look like a design choice :p

The problem with the Marin FS bikes is they weigh about 3lbs more than anything similar. But they do ride very nice given the weight. They have gone on a serious diet over the last couple of years to a point they look like the were built for sale in Asda. Serious image problem there :(
