Mr.Fantastic - You are right sir. It should have been made clear if any mods are being used/ allowed.

Can everybody taking part in this TT confirm whether or not they are using Juls MOD please.

Also for next week's TT (and on) can everyone vote on whether or not their in favour of using handling/ performance improvement mods please.
I'll update the first post accordingly when a sufficient number of votes are collected.

Well I wasn't using it until yesterday, but I am now. I don't care if its modded or not in future, but as you say its impossible to police so I guess we should all go with juls' mod from now on. It does seem like a nicer drive too, as well as being faster.

Just remember it slows down the career mode AI, so the races will be easier with the mod installed, even on 'Hard'.

Quick race AI is a different story altogether though. They put up a pretty good fight on 'Easy' in the GT3 class.

im with the mod.. and i vote to have it in the comp.. mainly because it only improves the game and should be required/used anyway!

It's £28 to download from GamesPlanet if you were wanting it in a hurry. Around 7gb, split into 5 parts.

No download managers / apps needed. Your conformation email contains the serial & download links. And afaik you can download again whenever you like.

Turned FF down from 100% to 64%, massive difference. Wheel felt so heavy and hard to control before, like a car with no power steering. Quick question. Where would you guys say is the optimal gear shifting time, just as it hits red and changes engine sound, or faster gear changing right at the end of the speedo but just before the red?

Hi Merlin
I change gear before red, about 5 markers from the end of the rev meter. When up shifting the importance is on what revs your doing in the new gear. As long as your hitting ~7000 rpm after the up shift there's plenty of torque/ power available.

Cheers Nikaz for the advice. I've been doing about the same as you then. Reason I asked though is because watching your vids of shift 1 earlier in the thread, each of your gear changes, the red light flashes momentarily before each gear change. So I thought maybe I needed to stay in gear until it flashed, but I won't now, I'll stay as I was.
