Just wanted to get a few comments as to if the show is worth giving a go, watched in the loop last night and found it very funny. being based off the show i'm hoping it would share this?

Thanks

Yes it is, it's ****ing amazing!!! I've watched both series more than 10 times, no joke it's that funny! :D

I had a good few "almost wet myself" moments during the film, so will definately give it a try - just wanted to make sure it wasn't just the film that was good

It is wierd in that the same actors play different parts. I watched In the Loop first but The Thick of It is brilliant TV!

If you've never seen it before, then you're really in for a treat.

Fully deserved all the praise it got. Even if you're not into politics you wont go far wrong with this. Peter Capaldi is truly brilliant - as are the rest of the cast.

I saw In The Loop first and watched The Thick Of It afterwards. If anything TTOI is better than ITL. I just picked up a Series 1, 2, 3 and Specials DVD box set for like £12 I think.

I'd agree The Thick Of It is better than In The Loop because the characters have more time to develop - if you're looking at the characters outside of Malcolm Tucker then Jamie has some absolutely inspired lines and the swearing/insults are almost universally first class.

In The Loop is a good film and you don't need to have watched the series to enjoy it (I watched it before I saw the series) but I think I enjoyed it more in some ways having watched the series.

I keep trying to find if there is a new series being made, its a great show.

Yeah there will be a new series, but filming won't start until start of 2012. Peter Capaldi was on BBC Breakfast a month or so a go I think, but I missed it. :(

Glenn's breakdown in Spinners & Losers is amazing, one of the funniest things I've ever seen on TV. :D :D

And Steve Fleming is well out of this world. He is on a wholeeeee different level of crazy compared to Malcolm and Jamie. I would love to see more of him because he actually is insane.

I'm trying to find a clip on YouTube, but every single one has swearing in it! :D

As said, The Thick of It is funnier and better developed than In The Loop and has some really quite breathtaking swearing in it.

Very funny, give it a watch. If you're not sold within 15 minutes then it's just not for you.

Definitely watch it!

I have very little interest in politics, but I love this show.

Doesn't get any less funny on repeat viewings either.

Epic TV - So much better than the film!

So many brilliant moments (like Partridge) it's impossible to pick a favourite.

Hugh getting ambushed by the Welsh lady during his factory visit....... haha........ and Glenn's "just smile"..........

The Thick of It just came out of nowhere to become probably my favourite comedy. I love it.

Favourite moment- Ben Swain's Newsnight appearance. Jamie- "Even the cameramen are laughing"
The look on his face in the taxi afterwards is priceless:D

I also love the bit where they find out that Julius is the leak in Spinners and Losers. Jamie really lays into him and it cuts to Julius and he just smiles, shrugs and says "sorry"

NEW SERIES NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bit of a bump, almost finished series 3. What a show! Malcolm Tucker is first class. I am glad they are making another season.
