Go Pro Hero HD Motorsport

There are loads of GoPro mounts on that rain forest site ;)

My laptop with SD card reader built into it struggled to play the files,just use a USB2 SD card reader now and it plays them fine now.

I initially thought it was the file size but found that copying them to the laptop solved that problem although the transfer was dead slow (using the SD slot) the reader transfers/plays from the card perfectly.
 
Well, they play fine on my home computer, so that solves that issue. I just went for a very quick blast to test the tank mount, as you will see from the video, I have poorly placed the camera due to the screen edge being in the centre of the image, also the image is very blurry.

Night time is 100% not this camera's strong point!

Vid is uploading now, used the r3 mode, so 720p @ 60fps. Actually I think it's 50fps as I set PAL mode in the settings so it will record at 25fps and 50fps instead of 30/60fps :)
 
I have the Motorsports GoPro and love it! I also have the chest mount which is awesome.
I need to get some more mounts though as the view from one mount gets boring after a while.

Not saying I ever do... But any simple way to edit the video to cover the speedo just incase I tip over the limit? Not that I ever do...

Did a 5 min test vid from home to work and the quality is sublime, even though it's over cast. The detail it picks up is amazing :D Although I did smack my chin on the camera when I went to tuck in, forgot it was there. So think I will invest in a chest harness.

Depends what program. In Premier I created a new layer, made it a black screen for the length of the video and made it the size of my speedo. I expect it is possible to do the same but with blur instead of a solid colour.

Just spoke to the chaps in Marketing, they suggested AVS, and showed me how it works, dead simple. I can even import a smiley face and place it over my clock for the entire journey :) This is what I will do tonight.

Obviously, I never break the speed limits as they are totally reasonable... :rolleyes:
 
Putting a smiley face on your speedo doesn't somehow make you immune from speed limits or other dangerous driving. If you want to show off your uber bike speed skills I'd suggest going on a track.
 
agnes, careful what you upload for the world to see.

Yoshimitsu very nearly got jail time when posting videos of himself on his bike, fortunately he received a section 59 in the end but he was very lucky to do so.
 
I was gunna make a official HD Hero thread but i found this in the search :D

I just bought a HD Hero 2. It was my birthday on the 15th so i decided to treat myself :)

Would like a go pro but don't fancy shelling out for something I may not use too often. Are there any cheaper genuine alternatives?
