Hello.

Like many others I completely replaced my original gaming PC and bought a brand new one just in time for BF3.

I'm currently running:

- Core i5 2500K @ 4.2GHz
- ASRock Extreme4 Gen3 Motherboard
- EVGA GTX 580 1.5GB
- Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB 1600MHz

I have been ultra tempted to buy a Hazro HZ27WC monitor to replace my old and dated Dell E22WFP 22" (1680x1050) monitor.

However I am concerned that the low amount of video memory on my only GTX 580 may hold back the card and lower its performance.

I was ideally hoping to play BF3 with ultra settings at the Hazros native resolution (2560x1440) and have a minimum playable frame rate of at least 30fps.

I have seen countless newly-purchased gaming PC's that are similar if not identical to mine, so I was wondering if anyone with the Hazro HZ27WC monitor and my spec could give me a verdict?

Oh and sorry if this question has already been asked and answered :D

I have the Hazro 27"
i7 @4gh
6gb ram
580 1.5gb MSI TF @ 850 core.

I have not played BF3 for a while so the FPS is going by memory.

It was running all on high with the exception of textures on ultra with post AA only, it was dropping to 35fps and maxing at 60 prob 40 constant.

I think the graphics cards memory was reaching 1.3gb max.

Possibly, but it could be down to GPU processing power. I have not see any benchmarks for a 1.5gb verses 3gb verses sli 1.5gb.

Just done a test for you

i7 920 @4Ghz
EVGA GTX580 Classified 3GB
I have two cards but I disabled one for the test GPU1

See image for my findings RAM usage 1560mb
FPS was spot on with Survevor's post @ 34 FPS at it's lowest point.
I only played for 10 mins on a city map.

Thank you all for the help you've offered, it seems that the lower amount of video memory does affect the card at higher resolutions.

Cheers all :)
