Have you thought about one of these instead?

Hey dude, try and link to OcUK products if possible. Always check the OcUK website to make sure they have the one you want to link too in stock.

Don't want you to get into trouble dude!

Read the rules if you ain't sure or just ask one of us!

so you have a usb 3 case which plugs into a usb 3 header but you want to plug it into a usb 2 header but youve broken the adapter?

am i understanding you right?

If you look at the OP pic, the connector is for an internal 19 pin connector, the card you have linked is not compatible with his needs.

I have had the same issue with needing one of these and know that OCUK do not stock a suitable card which is why I linked to a manufacturer of a product and not a competitor which is not against the rules

i think this is the best solution and considering it is a manufacturers page and you cant buy through it - i dont think it is considered a competitor

I have one of these cards in my case and it works wonders

Glad you agree a manufacturer is not a competitor :D

Yeah, i know it doesnt really make sense but thats the only way I can use the front usb sockets, my motherboard doesnt have a usb 3.0 header (do any itx s1155 boards?) so in order to use them the above adapter was supplied with the case but i makes them usb 2.0 only, not that makes any difference to me as I dont have any usb 3 devices.

I've now managed to bodge it to get it working by sticking a copper pin in the plug so it makes contact with the snapped pin

Ive been in touch with the supplier I bought the case from and they think they might be able to get me another one....

Unfortunately a pci-e device is no good either as I wouldnt then be able to use my graphics card, should have said its an itx mobo to begin with too :)
