I did post this in the Servers & Enterprise forum but figured more people use this for the setup of software. If a passing mod wants to delete the other one, please do :)

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the .local extension that SBS 2011 adds automatically without demoting/promoting again?

Thanks

Cool, cool cool cool.

Found a way to do it.

Whack the setup disk in, choose setup and then create an answer file. Then, you need to save this answer file to the root of a local disk. It has to be the root. SBS 2011 will look for the file on the root and, if it finds it, will use the details found in that file.

I was able to use "mydomain.net" and it didn't append the .local extension. :)
