The first "proper" Kepler news Fri 17th Feb?

£400 I reakon. Which would be a good price. Not a great price, but a good one.

Hell, could even be £375. Which will be a great price.

Ed. Maybe they have realised that no matter what they do they won't convince people that this isn't a mid ranged part?

I would imagine they've had a look around and gauged reaction around the net.
 
Look at the Toms Hardware figures!! It is uniformly faster than the GTX680 accross the board.

However,the only slight dissapointment is that in BF3 both cards are more or less the same at 2560X1600.

Serious concern that they've gutted the CUDA abilities on this card, which was the swaying factor over the 7950/70. :(

A lot quieter than the 7970 at load, 4C hotter (79 vs 75)

Average performance in 6 games 87.9 vs 74.3 (18% faster than 7970, 30% faster than 580)

So the HK review looked about right, their average game performance was 29% faster than 580, Tom's is 30%.

For comparison Fermi, the worst gain in recent times across a die shrink, was 40% faster than GTX285.

My conclusion is if priced at £450 the card is a joke.
