EVGA GTX 780 Ti KingPin Edition

Clear plastic.. looks so cheap and uncool.

Although maybe it is to reduce cost since they know 99% of these coolers will be shoved in a drawer.

Honestly who cares what the air cooler looks like. If that is being kept on, wasting the cards potential.

I think the evga looks good but not the MSI that's very cheap looking

MSI Europe
When we work on our Thermal Designs we create various prototypes and though they perform well, they will not always offer the quality you expect from us. A clear plastic cover discolors quickly because of dust & heat and bare copper heat pipes easily suffer from oxidation and discoloration. Stay tuned to know what the final card ends up looking like.

just come off the phone with evga in germany, as my new 780ti is suffering from extreme coil whine sounds like its screaming, they advised me to send it back to retailer and get refund and wait for the kingpin lol i asked why he said he can not comment any further but i will be more then happy with it.

The stock 780ti and kingpin are aimed at two separate people though really, do you plan on benching?

not benching but i plan on 1440p gaming with max aa with all bells and whistles, i am guessing for the price it might be better getting two 780 ti sc rather then spending a fortune on one big card and then having to re morgage for the second lol

Of course he's going to say that. They're promoting their high end products lol. should have asked him what the crack was with the Classified first, before they start tooting their own horn about the Kingpin card.

You'll be more than happy with two SC cards, and there isn't a hope in hells chance of the Kingpin Classified out performing a pair. Not even under LN2.

Clear plastic...

...yuck! :p

Someone needs to tell them this isn't the early 90's. Instead of wasting time on crappy see-through cooler shrouds they should be trying to get a decent cooling solution on 1 slot.

There are no sc acx yet available yet,I checked the retailers evga advised on their site in case I missed any/ checked spain/sweeden retailers and they didn't have it lol:eek:

So this Kingpin edition will be available soon next year, as far as I know
