**THE AMD DRIVERS THREAD**

No surprises with your tone, no mention where Nvidia techs trail AMD's though(no surprise for the forum there), plenty they could use to improve the Nvidia experience, using both, you can identify them more easily.

You use a term Ngreedia tax and then go on to moan about someone else's tone.

AMD are really catching up with nVidia in these new techs and great to see. AMD now (or will have when the latest Omega drivers are released) have DSR (VSR) and AMD now have Adaptive Sync.

Great stuff :D

To be fair that works both ways, both companies come up new tech, its not always AMD following Nvidia. ( [JOKE] on most occasions AMD get a third party to do it for them :D:p:D [/JOKE] )

I doubt it's any better tbh. It may not even be as good for all we know.

The VSR thing will probably be pretty much the same thing I expect.

Soon... :D

I hope these drivers when they are released are better than the current ones. :)

Well they had better be or the whole thing will be a complete waste of time.

Omega drivers look immense! Although I don't think we will see anything until the new AMD GPU's are out :( It will be interesting to see what cards will and won't support the new features i.e. the resolution stuff, I should be safe with my 290 though.....

Can't wait to try the resolution stuff out on older games

The selection of panels today seems like we are being drip fed. WHY can't I just have a 4K 144hz sync IPS/VA. :(

That's my main problem with the gsync panels available so far, compromises.

Yup that is why I think I will stick with AMD for quite a while.

I just can't see there being anywhere as much choice for gsync monitors. We already have a whole variety of freesync monitors announced for next year where as with gsync monitors, it just seems to be more of the same.

The main supply of Scalers (Samsung) will be Free-Sync, so you would think anyone using those scalers will be Free-Sync.

Using two mid range Nvidia gaming systems V one AMD system under my roof, I think I paid for the fact that I can profess some Nvidia profanity.

Never expected you to call out the real trolling though bru, the innocence is lost when it's the same guff from users that don't use the tech, don't plan on purchasing into the other sides tech...

And Gibbo has also confirmed that LG have 29" and 34" ultrawide freesync monitors next year + the dell 34" will supposedly support freesync.

I am hoping that Samsung's 34" VA ultrawide screen will be freesync too but don't think it is :(

It's said the display amd used to showcase Freesync is already on the market and is ment to be a Dell display.

I guess once these drop amd will have more information about Freesync.

If you look at the slides it says at the bottom what cards support what features. DSR thing is 290s and 285 only I think.

It does indeed, a bit disappointing to be honest, but then with the DSR variant it only started out on the new cards first.

Unfortunately nearly everything other than the 290 and 285 is on very old architecture now.

That's fair enough. They could make it available on older cards but better to get people to buy newer AMD cards, after all, AMD are a business and need to make money to stay afloat :D
