I'm on a budget, the lower the better, but I want something that has decent enough graphics compared to my current GPU (Nvidia GeForce GT 540M).

Here's what I have come up with so far. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

As far as aesthetics go I'm looking for a white case with pink / purple lighting.

What is your budget, it looks as though a few changes could make a very nice setup.

Any reason why you need 16GB of RAM or why have you chosen such a cheap CPU cooler for a good unlocked chip?

Budget is as low as feasible really. I'm a bit clueless about CPU coolers. I don't have plans to overclock either... yet. :)

Do you think 8GB RAM would be sufficient?

Thanks for the reply :)

The PSU is not great.

SSHDs are not any good I feel and a proper SSD and HDD combination is superior.

For gaming 8GB is fine.

Also spend more on the GFX card.

No idea what sort of budget you have but heres a clue as to where to go,

Get a proper SSD instead of that hybrid + storage.

If you're not into overclocking you can save a good chunk of cash by getting a far more basic board and standard i5 cpu. performance will be identical in games.

Put the extra cash into a better graphics card, a GTX950 is underpowered for a budget like that.

Also 8GB is fine instead of 16GB....and the intel fan is perfectly fine for standard use.

If you don't have an idea of budget, maybe you could tell us what sort of gaming experience you are shooting for and it will make it a lot easier to design a PC around that. Will you be gaming at 1080p or a higher resolution? Do you want to run games at max settings, or are you fine with medium/high settings. Ideally you should pick a rough price you want to keep it under then work from there. If you decide you want to spend a little bit more/less then you can adjust the spec accordingly.

1080p is fine, high / max settings preferable, and ideally under 700 if I can. :)

How does this look? Minus the case...

Go with what Stulid mentioned and you won't be disappointed - if you don't need the storage and it's just gaming then you can ditch the mechanical HDD altogether and stick with 240/250gb SSD which will be fine for a decent number of games (after all, how many can you play at the same time).

It might go a few quid over your budget once you add OS but it's worth the extra.
