Joining this club, 1070 founders edition ordered. £399 isn't too bad for the level of performance we're getting.

Had my 390X for around a year, though after seeing what my 980M laptop can do compared to it, it was time to go team green.

This will be my first desktop NVIDIA GPU for over 10 years, feels dirty! :D

Hope it performs to your expectations. :)

Ordered an MSI Gaming 1070. It's gotta be about a £50 premium to get an AIB card card a few weeks earlier, and wouldn't recommend anyone do the same but... well I really gorram wanted one :D

Finally narrowed my choice down to the following 1070 cards

MSI gaming X
EVGA SC
Gainward GLH

Has anyone got any advice on which card to get? Most of my cards in the last ten years or so have been Sapphire AMD, so I'm a bit lost at the moment with the green team and which cards tend to have the better coolers\ less noise\ most reliable.

Really want to order one of these over the weekend.

Personally, MSI has been my preference over the last few years. Their two-fan choices are solid, quiet, and look good. I've never had any problems with reliabilityin all my time with this brand.

The EVGA SC looks good, especially when it gets lit up with its white LEDs, and the latest ACX 3.0 cooler it has is very effective in cooling the card.

The Gainward is the highest boost-clocking card of the 3 and looks very nice. There are reviews of the 1080 variants for all three cards which I recommend viewing because they all have pretty much the same or very similar construction as their 1070 counterparts. The GLH 1080 seems very impressive, offering effective and quiet cooling, with very strong gaming performance for a good price.

They're all strong cards, but depite my MSI arriving tomorrow, I would have a hard time turning down the Gainward, with the EVGA coming in third as it is essentially the FE version with a better cooler and higher clock.
