Same as others...some better, some worse

nothing extra by being custom+water

It changes depending on what is currently going on I guess. Some parts of 3dmark it stays at 2101 some at 2088 and some at 2114. Always the same speed at specific moments of the test.

Lower than I was expecting. I've hooked a fan up to to the Strix and set it to a constant 50% blowing from the front under the card. Even processing a ton of timelapse sequences this afternoon it was hitting mid to low 50c. Not stressed it properly playing games, but I've set doom and the division to highest settings with g-sync and 100mhz and its smooth as.

I managed to install my MSI 1080 Gaming X today after a bit of a mare tbh!

Turns out that my RAM slots are weird and being clicked in means they aren't necessarily in properly. Sorted now after taking apart pretty much everything lol.

Sorry to bang on about this, just after some reassurance.

I have installed the hg10 and a h80i on my 1080. I was getting high temperatures at first of 85. So refitted and they dropped to 70c. I have now put a cable tie on the bracket where a screw should have gone, and my temp are reaching 65c at full load with overclock after 20mins of game play. In normal game play I am seeing 41c when locked at 60 fps.

Am I safe to just leave this now even though it should be performing better?

Those temps seem reasonable from what i have read. If you are that worried about it why dont you buy a cooler that is just more suitable, there seems to be plenty of them out there.

On a separate note, there are some lovely looking builds out there. Well done guys, its great to see so many people are as particular as i am with mine

It seems reasonable. I take it thermal paste is making good contact over the entire die?

Why do you have to use a tie wrap?
