This means the RX 480 is a superb card for those who are still gaming on cards a few generations old as this card offers a vast leap in performance whilst not requiring a power supply upgrade. That's a sweet back plate.

Those your pics or Sapphire provided? Either way, great shots. Might want to increase the aperture a bit on the full product shots imo.

Nice job Gibbo! I decided I'd wait and see what the custom cards looked like. Now I'm going to have to check to se if my case has space for one of these. Should be a nice upgrade from a 3GB 280X.

Wonder if they beat a 980 easily in dx11 not just 12. As dx11 is where most of the games still are.

Wonder if the power draw is fixed in these, i mean they should be shouldnt they with the 8 pin. Shame they are now far from the $199-$229 range that these were meant to stay around. But not much you can do.

Any idea what is inside the cooler gibbo, heatpipes, any copper or just alu? Is the pcb any bigger than normal, as not sure if same or longer than stock tbh as cooler makes it look small still.

Power draw is not an issue on regular RX 480, it is something all current cards do which is exceed power draw, even a 960 does, but for some reason people are making a lot of noise on the RX 480 about it, whereas this is nothing new and effects plenty of other GPU's.

It won't harm your mainboard and AMD are even releasing a new driver on 5th July next week to resolve such issue any way. :)

All the details I know right now on Nitro on are in the description. I will add more as I know more.

So where do these sit performance wise? I've seen anything from worse than a 390 to better than a 390x and bits inbetween?
How does it compare toa 780 as well?
It does look good

What are Sapphire like to deal with rma wise? Everything about this card ticks the right boxes but I don't know enough about them, I've only ever bought low end cards from Sapphire for ultra budget builds.
