This arrived today.....I originally had the iChill x3 pre-ordered, got cold feet with the push-backs and bought a founders edition, but then saw the Super Jetstream in stock and pulled the trigger.

@Biffa - your FE in EK Block looks lovely. Gotta say I really like the clean lines of a gpu with block on it.

My FE is arriving tomorrow, with EK block a week later. Quite an upgrade from a GTX680!

I have no idea what nvidia driver version I have - think I disabled auto updates.

Would you guys recommend I download DDU, restart PC in safe mode and run DDU for a clean? Someone recently posted nice simple, consolidated steps for running DDU but cant relocate.

Which driver version is recommended for the 1080?

Thanks very much fellas, not so often I deal with GPU upgrades as you can tell.

A very quick comparison of GPU-Z with the Palit Super Jetstream at idle and running Firestrike.....just to see temps and boostclock without any tinkering........happy to note the boost clock ramping up to 1987 MHz and temps of 68C - fans inaudible at 1250rpm. In comparison my 'Founders Edition' was hitting 79C during a Firestrike run.

Just go to nvidia.com/drivers and download the latest 10 Series driver.

I wouldn't bother with DDU, just download 10 series drivers, then shut down, remove old Nvidia card, reboot with new card in, install drivers, job done.

So for DDU and driver uninstall/install

1. Download lastest 10x drivers
2. Download DDU (from guru3d ?)
3. Reboot, starting in safe mode, run DDU
4. Shutdown pc, swap cards
5. Start pc in normal mode, install latest 10x driver

Seems flashing the Asus XOC bios to cards helps with the voltage limit - the XOC's got a 1.24v limit, seems it helps even FE's get a bit more OC headroom.

Obviously a slight problem is that Asus cards have 2xDP and 2xHDMI so if you've got a 3xDP and 1xHDMI card one of the DP's will stop working. Also if you're still under air it'll knacker your fan profile - best for water users. Obv flash at your own risk, but the schizzle to do it's here (and LN2 if you want to):
