Finally took the plunge.

Going from 1920x1200 with a 970 to 3440x1440 with a 1080

Woot!!

Finally the wait is over. I had to almost crash into the DPD driver to stop him though as i never got a text message, so almost missed my alloted window.

Do you think there's any point in getting a evga classified 1080 over the FTW edition when they won't boost any further than each other?
Am I wrong is there a performance difference between the two?

With normal cards there was. No the classified has better power and thats it.

Since the FTW doesnt do any better than a Flounders then its wasted. They even have the exact same cooler.

There "might" be unlocked voltage bioses where the extra power in a classifield "might" give you an extra 50Hz speed but its almost certain you would need to be on water to get that.

I agree, however the cooler isn't the same unless it's been changed very recently. It's a bigger heatsink but with the same fans. The SC has a smaller heatsink compared to both and has the smaller fans.

Yeah you are right, the classified is an inch higher than the FTW! Thats a tall card.

then why does it only show me 5005 in benchmarks (Heaven 4 etc )?

GDDR5x is double data rate so you multiply by 2 to get 10010
