Are the 1070s actually selling in droves?

There seems to be stock everywhere...

Maybe NV would sell more if they lowered the price by 40 quid?

When Gibbo dropped the price on the palit to 359.99 he reckoned 90 sold in 24 hours...

Now the price has risen again only 4 have sold in 24 hours as there was 9 in stock deal end and now there are 5 :p

I'm seeing drops on other cards too...the msi dropped by a tenner.....etc..

This is a good question, reasonable stock levels, would indicate that they are not selling quite as well as the 1080's that have been out for a bit longer and yet are still a little harder to get hold of certain models, despite a much higher price.

A slightly cheaper price and they would have a sale from me. Maybe I should have jumped on the one day only special that Gibbo did the other day.

They seem to be selling ok - but in my experience they are just over the tip of what most people feel is the right price for the 1070 - possibly hence the big jump on them when the deal brought them down to the upper end of what people are prepared to pay.

Both good points here...I feel this aswell ..I'm thinking that most see the 1070 a bit rich for their palit !

See what I did there ? :D

They're just too expensive to sell in the same sort of numbers that the 970 did. I'm not sure the 1060 will either, given it's not really much of an upgrade for anyone with a higher end Maxwell (or a higher end Kepler for that matter).

I'm currently looking for a new graphics card but there's no way that I'd even consider the 1070 or even the 1060 for that matter. Both are priced far and away beyond what I want to pay. The RX480 seems a decent price for what it does though.

Judging by the number of Time Spy bench results on the official Futuremark site there are plenty of 1070s being sold.

I wouldn't mind getting one if they were priced at £320ish.
EVGA 1070 SC is $439 in the US which I'm hoping my flatmate can bring back for me which should convert to around £320 compared to price here which is £450?

Sorry Easy I though inno3D was pretty close to inB4.

I will try to avoid angering HIS sense of correctness, my MSItake.

/Groan, ill get my coat.

600 sold on the past 7 days, very happy with that, in fact over the moon with that. :)

400x 1080
600x 1070
600x 1060

100x Fury
700x RX 480

Not bad for a weeks work! :)

Very good...but it would be far better if you had sold 2000 units at 329.99 if NV lowered the price...:D

Well it would not, because then there would be no stock anyway, right now they can only just cope with demand and more shortages are incoming due to lack of GDDR5X.

So no a price drop by NVIDIA would be a very big mistake and one they know not to make. :)

I mean a drop on the 1070 cards that use GDDR5 ;)
