For me, if buying from OCUK, it would be the Zotac, as they honor the full five year warranty.

Great piece of mind.
Yeah, but what does that really mean? OcUK will accept return and send it off to Hong Kong for you? That's good, but will that mean 28+ days waiting for the card back...

What's warranty like for inno 3D ?
3 Year Warranty (If bought from OcUK they will deal with warranty, can take over 30 days, you need to contact OcUK if RMA duration reaches 28 days.)

Taiwan or Hong Kong RMA Base.

I'm just updating my list once more, will post it in abit, had my thread unlocked.

I would like to know if anyone who has this card ( Zotac amp extreme ) .....as in have they had any any sagging ....im abit worried about it pulling on the card slot ?

oh and is the Zotac software ok ?
thanx :)

Use the zotac software to change the led colours. Then use MSI afterburner to set a custom fan profile so that the fans kick in at 33% at your desired temperature (up to 60C is ok). I have my fans kick in at 44C @ 33% and then ramp up. Anything below 33% fan speed and the fan can't decide wether to be on or off so revs as it starts up then turns off again.

Regarding the sagging - it is a heavy card so it's a good idea to support it somehow. I've got mine zip tied to the harddrive rack. Plus it is looong so make sure you have space in your case :)

The Zotac, there are two screws tightened to my Coolermaster case. I can't see it is sagging tbh.. But took up most of the space.

Zotac updated their Firestorm software.. I'll try it out soon.

Built a new system this week. Gone from Q6950 and 6790 crossfire to an Q6700k and MSI 1070 Gaming X 8G.

2Rf7Kkrh.jpg

This thing is so quiet compared to my 6970s! The fan hardly ever spins up and in game you don't even hear it spin up. Very happy for 1440p gaming.

Also, the 1070 is much shaper on the same display than my 6970s ever were.

It looks like you have the same soundcard as me. .do you get interference with that setup? sound card on top followed by GPU? cause i do. If you dont could you be so kind and tell me what driver version your running? thanks in advance :)

The saggines is not the only problem, if you put your pci-e slot under constant pressure it can do damage to mobo, this is just a theory but is has logic in it...

Most of the stress goes through the backplate to the rear of the case where the card is secured firmly with a pair of screws. There doesn't seem to be much stress on the slot. I have never had a slot fail either and I have had some seriously heavy cards with blocks installed in my time.

Totally agree, mine is fine and most of the weight is held by the bracket.

Cracking card and very quiet if you use the custom fan profile with MSI Afterburner. I have mine sitting at 58-60'c running AOTS, DX12, Extreme settings with the monitor below at nearly 60 FPS.

Mine had a slight sag (perhaps I'm more sensitive to seeing it). Just got a cable tie and attached it to my hard drive cage to give it some support, not an issue.

Hi all. I thought this might be of interest to someone at least - I know I'd have liked to see something similar when researching :)

I picked up a 40-inch 4K TV over the weekend to use as an extra monitor for my PC, to replace my old 42-inch plasma which died earlier in the year and which had been brilliant for occasional close-up immersive gaming but obviously suffered from low pixel density. As the 4K sets aren't much more expensive than 1080p now, I figured I may as well try one!

I had originally planned to stick with 1080p when I bought the GTX 1070, as benchmarks indicated that neither the 1070 nor the 1080 were truly 4K cards. Well, I've spent the weekend trying various games at 4K and I've been surprised and impressed! Nothing scientific, but here are my brief thoughts on how the card performed:

Alien Isolation (perfect)
Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 (perfect)
Dirt 3 (perfect)
Mad Max (great)
Life is Strange (sharp and smooth but not a showcase)
Bioshock Infinite (perfect)
Dishonored (perfect)
Skyrim (perfect)
GTA V (great with a few settings turned down)
Gone Home (perfect)
Tomb Raider 2013 (great with a few settings turned down)
FIFA 15 (perfect)
Resident Evil 4 (perfect)
Forza Apex (very impressive - 130fps with 2x MSAA on ultra. Around 80-90 on 8x MSAA)
Dead Space 3 (perfect)
Mortal Kombat X (perfect)
Killer Instinct (perfect)
DmC (perfect)
Sleeping Dogs (great with AA dropped to 2x)
Dolphin - Super Mario Galaxy 2 (great)
Arkham Knight (great - surprisingly!)
Rocket League (perfect)

Dragon Age Inquisition (good)
Doom (good but not smooth, seemingly regardless of settings - reports about 45fps at low and at ultra...)
Witcher 3 (looks great, frame rate not so good)
Dirt Rally (good, but need to reduce settings)
ACIV Black Flag (looks sharp but can't go anywhere near max settings)
Far Cry Primal (need to reduce settings too much)

So it does struggle a bit with the more recent games, but a few surprised me - particularly Forza Apex, which hopefully is a good indication that Horizon 3 will perform well too!

I'm also now more excited about playing through my backlog! Older games can really look great at 4K!

Edit: just thought I'd add that this was with an MSi Armor card, which ran pretty much silently throughout. Depending on the game, temperatures ranged from high 50s to high 70s.

I done the exact same thing with getting a 4k tv as a second screen and now only use it.
Cant belive how good it is and how well the 1070 copes. odd game turn settings from ultra to high.....job done.
