Gears of War 4 Bench Thread

still messing about with mine, Screen Space Reflections is certainly a fps killer.
I could not work out why my fury was faster at 3840x1600 than a 1080 at 3440x1440 then I realised I had not set Screen Space Reflections to insane, this literary dropped my framerate by almost half:eek:

Definitely not needed but think OP wanted it so the frames weren't so high that the CPU came more into play? Pretty sure in real life usage that anyone will use those 2 insane settings, and its still very pretty :)

Ultra settings eh? My brother ran a benchmark of it yesterday on his last gen i5/8GB RAM/RX 480 and he got ~90FPS with the default settings it gave him at a mix of the one before ultra and ultra. I'll get him to try with the settings in the OP. But otherwise, it didn't look too bad, I'm wondering how visible the difference is between ultra and the next one down. Usually not much in most games.

With quite a few of the settings there is a visible diff between ultra and high. Some you are right you can nearly spot the difference.

I'm pretty impressed with how well this game runs on. Lot of systems to be honest.

Seriously? You beat me by 0.1 fps? You couldn't have let me bask in the glory of being first in just one benchmark? :p

I'm on another monitor now :)

So here's my result at 3440 x 1440

That's my bench finally done right, It's also worth mentioning that RSR has his settings wrong and should be getting better results than he is. You can tell one which is the spawn rate from the result page but if he maxed that setting he may of also maxed a couple of others which aren't meant to be as per the thread instructions. I did too the first time I did it.

Thanks for pointing out the spawn rate. I will allow his results to stand as he is only hindering himself. Going forward I will check the spawn rate more carefully.:)

I never noticed that either. I do need to maybe update my one, seeing as I have finally overclocked my 1080. Not going to make much difference, but will be interesting to do it anyway.
