Hi there
The X1600 XT really is not such a great card, it scores well in synthetic benchmarks due to its clock speeds and the only game it really performs well in is Half Life 2, apart from that its performance in most games is poor and for the performance it provides it is certainly overpriced.
In order of performance, 1 been the highest this is how cards rate in that price region:-
1. Gainward BLISS GeForce 6800 GS "Goes Like Hell" 512MB GDDR3 - Retail (GX-027-GW) £155 +VAT
2. PowerColor ATI Radeon X850 XT 256MB GDDR3 - Retail (GX-037-PC) £130 +VAT
3. XFX GeForce 6800 GS Extreme XXX Edition 256MB GDDR3 - Retail (GX-056-XF) £125 +VAT
4. OcUK GeForce 6800 GS 256MB GDDR3 - Retail (GX-034-OK) £115 +VAT

10. HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X1600 XT ICEQ Turbo 256MB DDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI - Retail (GX-051-HT) - £110 +VAT
Here is a review to further back up my information which shows that even the 6600 GT gives the X1600 XT a bashing in some games:-

The X1600 XT is not a good buy, you can get cards that will run circles round it for less money, for an example the HIS X800 GTO Turbo is a superb buy from OcUK at just £90 +VAT and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else. Then you have the GTO16 and GTO2 cards which again kick the X1600's ass and only cost the same money. Even the much cheaper priced 6600 GT and 6800 XT outperform the X1600 XT in some games and the 6800 XT is a superb buy and is moddable upto more pipelines and vertex shaders making it a bargain. Then if you spend upto £10 more you can get a 6800 GS which completely destroys the X1600 XT and a little more money will get you the XFX XXX Edition again OcUK are the cheapest for this at just £125 +VAT making us approx £20 cheaper than our competitors. Or get you wallet out and go for the 6800 GS 512MB BLISS from Gainward which offers performance around that of a 6800 Ultra but at a bargain price.
OcUK's pricing on VGA at the moment is pretty much unbeatable, there are lots of good buys to be had.
