Nothing like a fun afternoon sticking your finger in a dyke. ;)

The site in question is for Infinity Tower (Wikipedia link), an 80 floor residential skyscraper being constructed as part of the Dubai Marina development. This incident took place a couple of months ago, if I recall correctly; no one was injured and none of the foundations were damaged.

Two months later the section of containing wall is yet to be rebuilt and the site is still a rather large swimming pool. Photos taken yesterday courtesy of Imre.

The Tower will have residential apartments, conference rooms, tennis courts, pools, a state of the art gymnasium, a nursery and a spa.

Oh and some diggers like digger land...

Oh and 30 diving boards at each floor.... Or is that going too far? :P

How residential pleasing can you get?

I actually thought you were going to post pictures of Drake Circus for a second...

Drakes circus isn't that bad, just depends which direction you are looking at, now the new arts building on the other hand... :(

I think exactly the same thing happended in USA/Canada when they were re-routing a motorway. £1000's worth of plant lay under 50ft of water...lol
