2500k @ 4.5Ghz - 122Gflops w/ 6GB Memory

2600k @ 4.5Ghz HT On - 103Gflops w/ 6GB Memory

Kweh

Been messing with voltages and everything and cannot get my 2600k above 106Gflops.

Am I missing something? Identical versions of IBT, Identical Windows 7 SP1 installs. Both on Asus P8P67 boards with pretty much identical configurations.

I am stable, and it's plenty fast enough but it bothers me that Gflops wise I seem under par.

Halp! :p

Just tried with HT Off - 124Gflops.

Why does HT nuke the Gflops on IBT? I'm not really concerned - numbers are numbers, just curious really.

did you set the IBT 'threads' to auto or 4 and 8 respectively?

The highest I recall seeing on my 2600k was about 118g/flops

HT doesn't work with IBT, HT uses un-used parts of the CPU. Since all the threads want the same CPU resources, it ends up being slower because of all the context switching.

Manually set to 8.

HT off with Auto netted 124Gflops.

Cheers for that.
