Hi Folks thought I'd let you know we are holding an open day at the OMC this Sunday 29th April, from 10am till early evening. Feel free to drop by and say hello see our facilities and have a cuppa.

This sounds Excellent, Anybody here been there/used the place ?

I'm in the process of doing my lessons/big bike test & will swing by & have a look on my Noob riding travels when done. :cool:

Before you buy your first bike. Come round and we'll teach you what you need to look for and check. It's the things we teach on our basic maintenance course.

I could have done with that. Bought my first Bike after passing my test 5 years ago; a Bandit 600. Got it home to find the exhaust whatsit at the bottom had a big hole in it (apparently a common fault with the Bandits), something in the the electrics was shot to bits, the cam chain something or other was buggered and the bike was on its last legs. It kept breaking down every 20 minutes. Bah. Oh and the speedo was about 20% off. Wondered why cars and trucks were zooming past me on the motorway when I was doing a steady 75...

Simply had no idea what I was looking for when I bought it.

Chipped it in for a Fazer 600 after 3 months of pain...
