Door bell rang at 9am and this greeted me! It just oozes class and quality.

I was concerned about how the silver would look, but all my doubts disappeared once I looked at it! Pictures really cant give the finish justice. The main reason I went for silver is because I'm keeping it indefinitely and we all know how durable black LL cases are...

Strangely it didn't come with ventilated PCI slots.

But I sorted that out with some Nexus examples. ;)

One of my favorite features of Lian Li cases, easy grill removal! No cutting required...

And some 2thumbs-fresh cable management.

Just have to wait for the components tomorrow and then I can build it up and take some completed pics.

WOW! Thats pretty! Im almost tempted to go back to a full atx setup.... *hugs sg03*

Welcome to the silver side of life too! Iv been adiment that silver is the colour of choice for pc's for years! (silver tsunami dream and now a silver sg03 are awesome)

Will deffinatly be posting progress pictures in here, aswell as other features of the case (didn't have much time earlier) and maybe a mini-review once it's all done. :)

They'll scratch even if you look at them wrong. ;)

They're also terrible for showing fingerprints, and don't even think about wiping them off with a cloth...you'll scratch it. LOL

Looks very nice :)

Why is a black Lian-Li not a good idea ?

Scratches show up on it more... Easy solution, don't get it scratched... :D (because black obviously looks better ;))

Also, the black ones show up fingerprints really easily, a lot less noticable on the silver ones.

EDIT: Epically beaten =(

The black lian li are so easy to scratch. I actually scratched on with a callous on my hand. If I was getting a lian li now i'd go the silver route after dealing with both...even though I prefer the black look.

I like the cat tbh :)

Was waiting for someone to notice. :p

PSU fitted with the stand re-positioned correctly:

I noticed no reviews of this case mentioned (or on the Lian Li site IIRC) is that the gfx card pillar can be put in to two different positions depending on if it interfers with a tall cooler. I'll be using one so I've placed it closest to the front of the case.

One of the 2mm thick allu side panels with pre-fitted sound dampening. Jury's out on if it makes any difference to accoustics.

Door open and Pioneer 216 fitted.

Super thick door material, feels like it weighs more than the whole case! :D

Hmm, I can't make my mind up about that door. I'm normally a big fan of the plain style of Lian-Li's, but it just doesn't look right somehow. The rest as always looks quality though.

PK!

great pics

im in two minds on this or the v1000z

this one looks very expensive - which is what i like about it

That's because it is. :o :D

You cant go wrong with either. I love the front of the 'Z', but the hot swapable HDD's put me off because I wont use it and it doesn't use anti-vibration mounting unlike this one.

Finished putting it all together today...

Excuse the IDE, using my old (yet very little used) WD RE 320GB drive whilst I decide what drives to use for raid0.
