hi all. im after a gaming mouse mat to play FPS like battlefield. ive currently got a logitech G5 mouse. i was thinking of going for one of the razer mats but not sure which one. its hard to decide without actually getting the feel for one. so which one would you recommend?

Hi, I have the Razer Mantis speed mat, very good, although I haven't tried any other to compare it with.Works well with my G9.

Desk size cutting mat

Im sure you will all have reasons why one would not use such a mat, but i find a cutting mat excelent as it covers the entire desk and so you will not run off the edge by accident lus it double as an excellent all round mat for all types or work building and assembly etc.

G5 and icemat are made for each other, its what I use, with a new Boogie Bug XL as linked earlier, now I got comfort for general use and high precision still on my mouse.
The boogie bug is fine for general browsing but not for fast gaming I would say...

3t3p how did you get your boogie to not curl at the end, mine came and was curled at the end from being in the tube, there is still a kink at the end and had it for 6 months now.....although never done anything to try and straighten it.

razer destructor for pure awesome tracking, but placed on a qpad for comfort. Best mat I have EVER used, and ive tried basically all of them at expo events. Icemats are nice, but personally i tend to prefer cloth mats.

Look at these:

Boogie Bug
Razer Goliathus Alpha Control / Speed
Razer Goliathus Omega Control / Speed

I really cant decide - I want a mix of speed, precision and smoothness.
Although the Boogie Bug is a tad too big for my desk, I've read good reviews and it's what I'm leaning towards.
Help!

Razer Exactmat, ive had mine for 5 years and id still going well (can't see it on overclocers any more though)

i havent got enough room for the boogie bug. but i think im gona try SteelSeries Surface QcK because i prefer cloth mats and if i dont like it then its only a few quid wasted. thanx guys:)

Ive got a starcraft 2 steel series jobby. Is it the same surface? If so its as good as any of the other random cloth mats I have used (qpad and some free awesome mat from a lan). But the destructor blows it away on tracking, speed and control tbh.

Ultim8 mine was hardly curled at all luckily, though I was concerned the packaging may cause it to. I assume you have tried reverse rolling it up?

I have a razr something or other, big one, but spilt coffee on it. Now i just use an intellimouse 3 optical and the desk, dont get any issues.

Yes tried reverse rolling it but no joy also the replacement for the exact mat is now the Razer Vespula its a dual sided hard mat Speed/Control.

I got a SteelSeries QcK+ cloth mat. Was odd getting used to it to begin with - I use low sensitivity in every game and I barely lift my mouse up when repositioning it so I would be tracing one way in a game then suddenly looking in the air
Got used to it now though and must say its a fair bit better than some A3 sketch book I was using before, and the SK gaming graphics on it are pretty sick too :D
