I'm calling it now. Metal Gear Solid 4 in stores late 2009 or early 2010. Microsoft will drop the bomb shell this monday (june 1) at their press conference. They did it last year with Final Fantasy 13, this year its MGS4.

I am so sure I am willing to bet my username on it. If Microsoft don't announce MGS4 for the 360, I will change my username to the dumbest thing anyone can come up with. I am that sure on it.

I tried to deny it in the past, but at this point it just has to happen. Theres no avoiding it.

Update: According to PSI, whom have translated the article, a Metal Gear Solid for both PSP and PS3 will be released that will be connectible with each other. The game will take place seven years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4. The Big Boss character in the scans is not actually Big Boss but his most recent clone, who's said to have played a role in Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4. Over the last seven years his aging has been rapid. That's all we got out of the translation.

Kojima is the master of the mind****ing everyone. Its what he does best.

There was 0 rumors or hints last year about FF13 coming to the 360. If FF13 can go multi platform, then so can MGS4. Microsoft and Konami both like to make money. Its going to happen. Even if they have to compress or put the game onto 2 discs, they'll come up with a way to make it work.
 
360 owners for the most part don't know anything about the MGS series. From what I gather, jumping right into 4 will leave you confused as to who everyone is.

This Kojima guy seems unlikely to be the sort that will make a game thats newbie (to the series) friendly. His ego is far too big for that.

Agreed.

Isn't Final Fantasy a different story in each game?

Why would he release the 4th part of a complicated story first for a console that has never had anything from the franchise?

Nah. Chances are 360 owners are also PS2 owners and have had a chance to play the games. MGS2 is on the xbox and can be played on the 360.

I thought the same a while ago but the story can found out online or by watching....

Would be a rubbish investment for MS. They need exclusives and they know it, PS3 isnt as big a threat plus mgs4 is old news.

Kojima has never left any hints either, its always been a definate 'no'.
 
You guys were disecting that Kojima announcement. What was the outcome? I was following it until it started to **** me off with its crypticness.
