From the interview and HD showcase we learn that:
> Crysis will eventually bring a 8800 GeForce card to its knees.
> The Tidal waves have more technology than the entire FarCry game.
> The Trees in Crysis are more complex than the entire FarCry game.
> Crysis is 10x more technological and complex than Farcry.
> Crytek intend to be able to allow people who could run FarCry 3 years ago on highest settings (x800/6800 era etc) run Crysis on MINIMUM but, BUT! Crysis on MINIMUM will look as good as or better than FarCry whilst maintaining the same playable framerate.
^ With this info anyone with a 6800/7800 card and a capable cpu/ram combo of modern age should be able to run Crysis in DX9 mode very nicely at higher res (7800?). Looks like it will be a favourite among GFX cards with lots of memory onboard too.
> They are still currently in ALPHA stage and the CEO stated the game could be improved at any point since their team have free roam to try new things to make things run faster and look better at all times.
> DX9 in Crysis has been pushed to the limits and at ALPHA stage looks as good as DX10 in games by other developers. The CEO stated that Both DX10 and 9 look awesome, DX10 looking a little more awesome of course.
