Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 Resurrected

Got me one already off a mate (Still aint paid him or anything)

Absolutely gorgeous mice, nice to know I'll be able to get another once this has died.

My mum is still using my old one of them. Much better than the v4, but rather than re-release the v3 they should introduce a revamped v5 that's laser and with a couple of extra buttons.

Erm, they have basically with the help of Razor. :p

There is another thread in GH about it.

Not quite, thats focused for gamers and the shape is horrid IMO, like all the other Razer's.

Maybe we will see some more peripherals in the coming months from Redmond :)

Let's just hope that they have the nice 'clicky' scroll wheel which I know and love rather than the smooth scroll wheel of the v4.

I had a v4 and hated the clickiness, then that died (hmmm) and I got a 3.0 and I wouldn't go back now. Too fat :p

I had the v3 about a year and a half ago for a good year and a half (MS replaced my previous old version because it stopped working). Good mouse, although I think I prefer the MX1000 I have now. :)

I love how we get so fond of our rodents.

I've had MS Intellimouse original ball mouse, explorer v1, 2 x v3 (which I practically melted playing various types of quake) and then shifted to logitech mx700 and now the mx1000.

Although I currently love my mx1000, no mouse has ever felt as comfortable as the explorer 3. Perhaps this time round they'll have made coating a touch stronger, so the mouse doesn't look like I'm on the computer 24/7. Oh... wait...

That V3 is probably the best ratter I've ever used. In my books it ranks alongside the Logitech MX500 for egonomics and responsiveness. I may get it, but given that my MX518 is performing so nicely I don't see much of a need.

Microsoft has teamed with leading gaming peripheral maker RAZER to unveil the Microsoft Habu a new gaming mouse. Powered by Razer Precision, the Habu's data path was opened from eight to 16 bits and features an advanced 2,000 DPI laser sensor; the result is an ideal gaming mouse with virtually no skipping or pixel jumping or negative acceleration. Habu has seven programmable buttons with Hyperesponse allow gamers to program their button functions; Razer's Hyperesponse technology reduces latency. It has interchangeable Side Button Panels provide gamers with two options for different hand sizes or preferences. It features Ultra-slick Teflon feet for smooth and quiet gliding and a Thin, flexible wire which gives the speed of a wired mouse and feeling of a wireless mouse. Microsoft Habu will be widely available in October 2006 for an estimated retail price of $69.95. Also revealed is Microsoft's own IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 which is being re-released in October for $39

I can't believe microsoft are finally bringing this mouse back.. When will it actually be available to buy in the UK exactly anyone know?

Only last month i was talking to friends how the best mouse was the MS 3.0 and how microsoft should just bring it back with a better DPi accuracy... and this month they announce it.. omg I can't wait.. I just want to buy a load of them right now.. also had a look at the Habu gaming mouse, might take a look at that aswel, but the 3.0 is great mouse, felt great, light weight, just awesome really.. (still got my old one.. just coudn't throw it away) I've got a logitech G5 now that i've had since it came out, but its pretty rubbish, feels like moving a brick, LANGUAGE! mousewheel.. awful thing and crap setpoint software aswel

Anyone know a definite release date for these yet? Desperate to get hold of one but this review's the only thing I've come across since the announcement.
