Missus had me up in the loft dragging the tree down today, plus a few other bits. Anyway, I whacked it up, she decorated it.

Wowsers your early, or maybe we are late. I love it when our tree comes out it always feels like christmas is nearly here.

Looks nice. We're doing our decorations tomorrow but leaving the tree a week or two as the baby will pull everything off it all the time. We usually do it on the 1st Dec as a tradition but we'll get back to that next year probably. I love Christmas and can't wait to get everything else up tomorrow. Been too busy today to do it, kids had football this morning and then a party not long afterwoods, in-laws came for dinner too.

Personally, I think it's too early too.
My other half always insists on putting up the tree on Dec 1st, after 15 yrs I'm used to it :).
Plus the kids love it, also it doesn't seem too early nowadays seeing as we've been drip fed Christmas since mid Oct by the supermarkets etc !!

put ours up this afternoon, only a small 5ft one but got some nice shiny and glittery silver stuff with nice blue lights, random tinsel thrown everywhere and a little black fibre optic tree as well :)

It is a bit early, but we nought everything and just felt like getting it all sorted, got us to tidy up atleast :p

Apparantly its 15 before and 15 after...

Im not sure to be honest, i think once its dec its up to you to decide..

If going by tradition, it goes up on the 24th and comes down on the 6th. :)

Of course it's pointless to have your tree up for less than 2 weeks, it's not worth the effort! I put mine up on the weekend 2 weeks before xmas. Though not sure when I'm going to do it this year, as I will be in London ready to watch Led Zeppelin that weekend. :D

Tradition dictates Dec 1st so it's not too early imho.

I've always been told that tradition states that the tree shall not be brought into the house and decorated before the 24th and shall not be removed until the day after Twelfth Night.

To be honest though, anytime over two weeks before Christmas is way too early in my opinion.

Actually, traditionally you put your tree up on Christmas Eve. :)

Not in my house :p

I was really talking about our tradition :p When you've got kids early is better as they can't get enough of it, they're always excited seeing the decorations and tree every day :)
